Letters from our Hunting Friends
We are  fortunate to have become friends with all of our hunting guests, and we tip our hat to those who have offered a little of their time to tell you about their hunt here at the ranch.
             Thanks from John and Ella

This is for those considering a visit to the 7W,
YOU WONT BE DISAPPOINTED

We decided to try a prairie dog hunt for our first visit to the 7W and had the time of a life time.  Our 13 year old and 8 year old sons looked forward to this end of our 3 week trip with great anticipation.  After 2.5 weeks R.V.ing from N.Georgia to Yellowstone Wy. seeing all the greatness this country has to offer  our 13 year old "James" told Ella "this was the most fun he had during the entire vacation"  the 8 year  old "Michael" shares his sentiments and has not stopper begging us to go back!!  We've been home 5 weeks and not a day goes buy that it doesn't come up.

The wife "Cherie" although not an avid hunter also looks forward to the next trip.  We stayed in our Motor home this trip, but while there did walk through and took a good look at the lodge.  Next trip we look forward to staying in the very clean, comfortable living quarters there at the lodge.  Cherie has little desire to head out on a big game hunt with the boys but she has said "she will enjoy the peace and solitude of the ranch and lodge while we do the man thing".  Ella has gone above and beyond to make sure the cabin style lodge is completely female friendly without going too far making the guys feel like they are staying in a doll house.

I've hunted plenty in my time but truly enjoyed the bonding time with my family in a beautiful, safe and completely inviting place.  The action was non stop using over 1100 rounds of .22 cal. and about 150 rounds of .243.  You can shoot as close as 20 yards or as far as your ability allows.  We were there for a short time and only got to see a tiny fraction of the 7W ranch, but what we did see provoked the real consideration of trying to purchase a piece of this unspoiled part of paradise.

John and Ella were truly a delight to get to know, I found that being with them more like visiting family then like having a guide service.  John Pierce  in my book is right up there with the other great "American Johns"  John Wayne, Jonny Cash and John Deere"  after you meet him this statement will be even clearer.  He is as comfortable riding the range on a horse as he would be playing guitar with friends in Nashville.  He's a home grown, corn fed all American good guy who doesn't know a stranger and is allot of fun to be around.

Ella is the kind of gal that is a blend of all the things you want in a pal and all the talent you wish in a woman.  She can drive the truck, shoot the guns, kill it, clean it, cook it and serve a first class meal !!  then clean up to go out for a night of fiddles and dancing.  If I planned an African safari hunting the rarest most dangerous game they have, Ella would be top on my list to guide that trip as well.

I'm not family nor have I been paid to say the things I've said, I'm just a American man with a wife and 2 boys living in the mountains of north Georgia that really had a great experience at the 7W Ranch with John & Ella. We have invited them to stay with us here in our Georgia home if they ever get this way, and I assure you this is not an invitation we throw around lightly but instantly considered them friends.

Dear John and Ella,

Thank you so much for your wonderful hospitality.  You made us all feel like we were old friends getting together after several years.  You run a first class operation and you know just what it takes to make everything work out.  Your guest house was very comfortable and had everything available down to the smallest detail and all of our meals were the best.
I'd have to say on a scale of 1 to 10 you are a solid 12!  Get that Cub up and running and let's do some flying!

If you guys get down to Phoenix make sure to give us call and we'll load you up in the RV's for a breakfast flight.

Thanks again for everything,

John
The experience here has been wonderful, from the great adventure in the field, to the wonderful meals 3 times a day. Hunters that miss out on this opportunity would truly be upset not knowing what they missed. I can only hope other trips we plan will be half as great  as this one.
Thank you both very much.

Dear John
We came for a 3-day antelope hunting adventure--and under John's expert guidance we succeeded leaving with a buck and a doe--but we left with so much more--fabulous meals served with love and warm conversation, breathtaking views foreveretched in our minds and digital camera, warm sunshinefilled days and crisp cool evenings slices blanketedin bright twinkling stars-too many to count, abundant wildlife including the howdy neighbor visits from the turkey, the accommodations were more than superb and the attention we received from the 2 of you will never be forgotten, The charming little white Church to remind us that God and his angels visitthe 7W ranch often. Thank you for allowing usto feel the heart and soul of this ranch even if for just a little while! See you next year.

Dear John
Thanks for your hospitality and customer service during our stay & hunt. The ranch is beautiful and  you do a great job of managing the property. We saw many Merriam Turkey, Mule Deer, and Whitetail Deer. We have made memories here that will last a lifetime. We will definitely recommend your ranch to anyone interested in coming to Wyoming.
